1. The short version
We collect what we need to run Locumoid for you, and nothing more.
We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your notes and pharmacy ratings are private to you. Rate insights only use anonymised figures combined across many locums.
You can see, export or delete your data whenever you like.

6. Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers process data outside the UK, for example in the European Economic Area or the United States. When they do, we make sure it's protected by UK adequacy regulations, the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- We keep your account data for as long as your account is open.
- When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.
- We keep records of subscription payments for 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, because the law requires it.
- Anonymised figures used for rate insights don't identify you, so they may be kept after you leave.
8. Keeping it safe
Your data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it to run Locumoid. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects you, we'll tell you and the ICO as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that's wrong (most of it you can edit in the app yourself);
- delete your data, which you can do from Account › Delete account;
- export your data in a commonly used format;
- object to or ask us to restrict some processing, including anything we do based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll reply within a month, and it's free.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
12. Contact and complaints
For anything about your data, email [email protected].
If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
