1. About these terms
Locumoid is run by Taika Design Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10390039), whose registered office is at 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds, England, IP28 7DE ("we", "us", "our").
These terms apply when you create an account or use the Locumoid app at locumoid.com. By creating an account, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.
Locumoid is designed for pharmacists who work as locums in the United Kingdom. You use it for the purposes of your business, so these terms are a business-to-business agreement.
2. Your account
- You must give us accurate details when you sign up, including your GPhC registration number, and keep them up to date.
- Your account is for you alone. Don't share your login with anyone else.
- Keep your password safe, and tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
3. Free trial and subscription
New accounts start with a free trial of 14 days. We don't charge you during the trial.
After the trial, we will charge you the then-current subscription fee each month, including VAT where it applies. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. We take payment through Stripe using the payment method you give us.
If we change our prices, we'll tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to you, so you can cancel first if you want to.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from Account › Subscription. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund partial periods, except where the law requires us to.
You can also delete your account from Account › Delete account. Deleting it removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy, so export anything you need to keep first, such as invoices and earnings reports.
5. Your content
Everything you put into Locumoid stays yours, including your shifts, invoices, notes, expenses and career records. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for you, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
We may combine anonymised figures from many users, such as average rates by region or pharmacy chain, to show insights in the app. These figures never identify you or show your individual shifts.
You're responsible for making sure that what you add is accurate and that you're allowed to add it. In particular, don't put patients' personal or health information into Locumoid, including in your pharmacy notes.
6. Not tax, legal or professional advice
Locumoid helps you keep records and plan. It doesn't give tax, financial, legal or professional advice.
- Tax estimates are general information based on the figures you enter and current UK rates. They don't take your whole circumstances into account, and you must not rely on them to file a Self Assessment or any other return. Check your figures with HMRC or a qualified accountant.
- Invoices are created from the details you enter. Check each one before you send it. You're responsible for what you invoice and for your own bookkeeping.
- Career, registration and compliance reminders are there to help you. You stay responsible for meeting your obligations to the GPhC, your indemnity provider and anyone else, and for checking the official requirements.
- Rate insights and pharmacy ratings are for guidance only.
7. Other services we connect to
Some features rely on other services, for example maps and driving directions, DVLA vehicle details, bank holiday dates from GOV.UK, calendar sync, Locate a Locum, and signing in with Google. Their own terms apply to how you use them. We're not responsible for their availability or accuracy, and a feature may stop working if a service changes or withdraws its access.
8. Using Locumoid fairly
You agree not to:
- use Locumoid for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading, such as issuing false invoices;
- try to access other users' data, or interfere with or overload the service;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows;
- scrape data from Locumoid by automated means.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Locumoid running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free from errors. We may need to pause it for maintenance, and we'll try to give notice where we can.
We improve Locumoid regularly, which means adding, changing and sometimes removing features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you're paying for, we'll tell you and you can cancel.
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect.
10. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Otherwise:
- we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, income, business or opportunity;
- we're not liable for decisions you make based on estimates, reminders or insights in the app, including tax you owe or late filing penalties;
- our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
11. Ending this agreement
You can end this agreement at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. We can end it by giving you 30 days' notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms. If we end it without you having broken the terms, we'll refund any period you've paid for but won't get.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have a problem, please contact us first and we'll do our best to sort it out. If we can't, the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute, unless you're based in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you can also bring proceedings there.
13. Contacting us
Message us using the chat in the app, or email [email protected]. We do not offer support by phone or postal mail.
