GPhC and PSNI

Your regulator's rules, built in.

Renewal dates, fees and CPD differ between the GPhC and the PSNI, and between pharmacists and technicians. Locumoid knows each, so you don't have to.

GPhC pharmacists

Renewal on your own anniversary and the fee, with four CPD records, a peer discussion and a reflective account.

GPhC pharmacy technicians

The technicians' register, with your own renewal date and fee, and the same revalidation records. For technicians.

PSNI

Pharmacists in Northern Ireland: retention by 31 May, with your CPD portfolio in place of GPhC revalidation.

Records as you go

Tick off each CPD record, your peer discussion and reflective account as you write them, not in the last fortnight.

A countdown to renewal

Your renewal date on your schedule, with reminders well before the deadline.

The fee, counted

Your registration fee in your costs of trade and your tax estimate as an allowable expense.

Everything else on file

Ready whenever an agency asks.

The documents every new agency or pharmacy wants to see, kept together and kept current.

  • Indemnity cover. Your policy, provider and renewal date, with a reminder before it lapses.
  • Background checks. Your DBS, PVG or AccessNI certificate, including whether you're on the Update Service.
  • Qualifications and memberships. Degrees, postgraduate qualifications and professional body memberships, with renewal dates.
  • Costs of trade. Everything you pay to practise, totalled for the year, and how many hours of work it takes to cover.
  • A CV that writes itself. Built from your registration, education and the places you've worked, ready to download as a PDF.
  • Where to go next. Career tracks from independent prescribing to Pharmacy First, with the steps for each, and your earnings year on year so you can see the progress.

Questions, answered.

Does Locumoid submit my revalidation?

No. You still submit your records to your regulator, through myGPhC or the PSNI. Locumoid is where you keep track of them as you go: what's done, what's left and when it's due, so the deadline never comes as a surprise.

Which regulators does it cover?

The GPhC, for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in Great Britain, and the PSNI, for pharmacists in Northern Ireland. Each has its own renewal date, fee and CPD rules, and Locumoid follows them.

What does GPhC revalidation need each year?

Four CPD records, at least two of them planned, a peer discussion and a reflective account, submitted by your renewal date. Locumoid lets you tick each one off as you write it, and counts down to the deadline.

Can I keep my DBS, PVG or AccessNI certificate in it?

Yes. Record the certificate's number and date, and whether you're on the DBS Update Service, so it's to hand when an agency or employer asks.

What are costs of trade?

Everything you pay to be able to practise: your registration fee, indemnity, background checks and memberships. Locumoid totals them for the year, counts them in your tax estimate as allowable expenses, and shows how many hours of work it takes to cover them.

Revalidation, without the panic.

Keep your records as you go, and see every renewal coming long before it arrives.
